| Pilar created Emilie's Musical Journeys in June 2000 to integrate a TV show with the every-day curriculum of elementary students and continues to move this project forward on a daily basis.

| In November 2002 Pilar performed at the Sage Theater in New York City. In June, she performed at The Plush Room in the York Hotel San Francisco. In September 2001, she also performed this one-woman cabaret style show for a full house in Marin County. In 1999, Pilar performed several shows in Los Angeles at Masquer's and The Cinegrill. Pilar performed an original lecture recital, "Music From the Heart," around the country and was Guest Artist at East Texas Baptist University. As she sang art songs, arias, and spirituals, she told a story about why the songs were important to her. The background explanation for each piece of music helped the audience understand the songs, even if they didn't speak the foreign languages. | In 1996 Pilar created an original Christmas show for choir, string quartet, oboe, piano, and soloists. The story of Christmas unfolded through familiar classic Christmas Carols and hymns beginning with the angel's announcement to Mary that she would give birth to the Christ child, through the heralding of the angels and shepherds, to the world that Jesus is Born! Several performances were held in Chicago and Dallas. |
