Pilar never intended on being an "instructor", but teaching others is a natural course for her. She has taught music, performing skills, equestrian techniques, and how to work well with dogs. Teaching is part of Pilar's character, which makes sense as to why she would create Emilie's Musical Journeys.

In May 2002, Pilar began teaching an Improv class and a new Scene Study class in Los Angeles for the organization S.L.A.T.E. - founded by 168 Film Festival Director John Ware. Classes were held at Bel Air Presbyterian on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

She also taught music classes for Gymboree in Torrance 2 mornings a week. The classes were very similar to Kindermusik, which she taught from September 2001 to July 2002 in San Ramon, CA. These classes were a lot of fun and it was great to see how the kids developed with music in their lives.

Check out www.kindermusik.com and www.gymboree.com to read about these programs!

From September 2001 to June 2002, Pilar taught for the American Conservatory Theater's satellite program at the Willows Theatre in Concord.
